I'm Ashley, a studio art major. All I really do in life is art. If I'm not working on school stuff, or chilling with my small group of friends, I'm up to something in my sketchbook. This year, I've discovered a new love for painting, so I consider myself a painter for the most part. I do some realistic things as well as more illustrative type stuff. I'm going to start experimenting like crazy this semester. I need to get a subject matter pinpointed and get my style straightened out. Who knows where it's taking me, cause I sure don't.

Hello Everyone! How it do?
Mid semester here, and I'm finished with my 3rd painting of the semester. Critique is this week, and plans for the next work are in progress. I'll have a nice batch of things to post at the end of the semester.
Things have been going great this semester. Great job, great people, great studio progress, a piece in a college show in Roanoake and another college show coming up, a phenomenal boyfriend who has been an absolute darling to me for the last 6 months, and I also received some great news!

Hello all!
So, I finally managed to post up some of the semester's work! I was excited about it. That was all of it from just painting class too. I plan on scanning some of my prints from printmaking and posting those. I'll probably post up some of my work from figure drawing as well. Don't worry, there are no naked people... We managed to avoid that portion of it for lack of finding a model to hire. Yay for small conservative areas who don't believe in things like that!
Anyways, I got onto a dark and apocalyptic theme this semester. I think that I may come back to this at a later point in time, or atleast continue the story behind the scen

New Year, New Woes

New school year is underway, and nearly half gone. Well, look at that. It hasn't exactly been all I was hoping for so far. It's far from it actually, and right now, all I want to do is to go home and forget that college exists for a little while and hug the shit out of my dog. Between the work and the people and the feels and the people and the work and the work and the people, I'm basically losing my mind this year. I can't wait for it to just be over already.
